Fay was artist in residence with the Pier Arts Centre, Orkney Islands, researching Neolithic sites and responding to the landscape, making drawings towards a new body of work.
Fay’s drawing is featured on the cover of Patrick Chapman’s new volume of poetry ‘The Following Year’ published by Salmon Poetry, as part of an on-going association between artist and poet.
Fay will be visiting ancient Jomon sites and museum collections, comparing Japan and Orkney’s past, and working towards new drawings.
Fay has been selected for this survey of art inspired by the spirit of Minimalism and how its principles are interpreted today.
Fay led a workshop for artists drawing plants from direct observation.
