The Death Suite 6: The Enemy Within
My early watercolour ‘Dock’ (2000) features in ‘The Enemy Within’, Volume 6 of Paul Carey-Kent’s ‘Death Suite’. Writer and curator Paul Carey-Kent invited artists to respond to his pithy, witty poems with an art work and statement. The poems have been written in response to the presence of his cancerous tumours last summer.
A collaboration of words and images, ‘The Enemy Within’ is available to read online. You will find a rich collection of poems, art and artists’ statements that convey the complexity of living a life and facing cancer head-on.
Paul has just completed seven months of chemo, and in this post-chemo phase, he is as active as ever. An inspiration.
